Approach

Jen’s approach is to help you get to know yourself — your feelings, wounds, challenges, wants, needs and preferences — so you can come to peace and healing in your life. By taking the time to explore and get to know yourself as God’s workmanship, true healing can take place, resulting in living out your purpose.

Jen believes her job and gifting is getting to the root of the problem, not just treating symptoms.  By identifying and addressing the roots of our issues, true growth and healing can begin — and actually, transformation happens!

She will come alongside you and help you identify the barriers keeping you stuck in destructive patterns and will teach you the skills that will help you live your life to its greatest potential. Jen works with each client as a unique and wonderfully-made individual, and not as a diagnosis or as a case.  Although this makes her unfavorable in a diagnosis-heavy therapy community, she stands firm in her belief that being wounded causes maladaptive coping mechanisms, but doesn’t make us disordered.

Jen is certified by Myers-Briggs Foundation to administer the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® personality assessment instrument, and she uses her knowledge of personality preferences to help her clients get to know themselves, understand and appreciate others, and bring insight and tools into their daily life.

Jen has completed an externship in Emotionally Focused Therapy, which is a go-to approach when working with couples.  She witnesses healing and connection restored in relationships by utilizing this modality.  Jen is very passionate about the benefits of EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy) for individuals, couples and families.

As a faith-based therapist, Jen uses biblical truth and the power of the Holy Spirit to navigate through sessions and resolutions.

Online Groups

In addition to offering talk therapy, Jen also walks groups of women together through twelve weeks of transformation via her online program. The material in Jen’s blueprint for Remodeled Life is the very material that has helped her patients in the therapy room to move toward a life of true freedom. Doing this program with Jen and alongside others in your group will help you feel supported every step of the way, and give you opportunities for meaningful discussion and accountability.
